Senior Management

Charles N. Blitzer
Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Blitzer has over 25 years of senior level experience within the pharmaceutical industry, including legal (both general corporate and intellectual property), business development, strategic planning and operations. During his tenure at Marion Laboratories, Inc., a Fortune 500 company, he was involved with the in-licensing of four prescription drugs which collectively reached $1 billion in sales. While at Marion Laboratories, he was also responsible for the in-licensing and ultimate acquisition of the over-the-counter antacid Gaviscon®, which became a big success through direct promotion to the physician as was Marion’s Os-Cal® brand of calcium. Mr. Blitzer also played a key role in the merger between Marion and Merrell Dow Pharmaceuticals, which eventually became part of Sanofi-Aventis Pharmaceuticals.

As Chief Executive Officer of MGI Pharma, Inc., a publicly traded oncology company (NASDAQ: MOGN), Mr. Blitzer saw its market cap grow from $42 million to over $1 billion before his retirement in 2003. MGI Pharma has since been acquired by Eisai Pharmaceuticals.

Since 2003, Mr. Blitzer has served as executive advisor and/or temporary CEO to several start-up and development-stage life science companies. In 2006, Mr. Blitzer and Joseph Fenn, M.D. co-founded PreEmptive Meds, Inc., a nutraceutical company focused in pre-disease which promotes its products directly to Primary Care Physicians with a small pharmaceutical based sales force. Mr. Blitzer served as the company’s initial Chief Executive Officer until June 2006, while remaining an active member of its board of directors. Mr. Blitzer has raised over $500MM during his career.

Mr. Blitzer holds a B.S. degree in Pharmacy from the University of Toledo, a J.D. degree from American University and an M.B.A. from Rockhurst College.

Joe Fenn
President & Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Joe Fenn is a highly motivated and creative “physician marketer.” He received his medical training from Christian Medical College, one of India’s premier medical schools. For the past 12 years, Dr. Fenn has worked in the United States, holding senior executive-level positions with Sanofi-Aventis and HealthSTAR Communications, a medical communications and advertising company.

Dr. Fenn possesses a solid blend of collective experiences—including medical and pharmaceutical marketing, brand management, pharmaceutical regulatory affairs, strategic thinking, innovation, and proven execution ability—to help build value and successful therapeutic brands. During his years in pharmaceutical marketing medical education, Dr. Fenn developed and nurtured strong personal relationship with top medical influencers in the country.

Paul Medek
Director of Sales

Paul has over 30 years of sales and marketing experience in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries. He has held a variety of sales and management positions with a strong focus in building high performance sales teams resulting in achievement of corporate sales goals and profitability.

His pharmaceutical experience is diverse. This includes tenure with Upjohn, various contracted pharmaceutical & bio-tech sales management positions through Innovex and most recently with Wyeth Pharmaceuticals. He is highly adaptable to evolving markets and comes to PMI with marketing experience launching more than 20 new products in more than 10 key disease states including diabetes, cardiovascular, women’s health, pain & inflammation, mental disorders, and sexual health to name a few. Paul’s strong ability to lead sales teams has earned him distinguished awards throughout his career including Manager of the Year and Coach of the Year awards while at Wyeth.

Paul has a unique background of successful marketing in both the pharmaceutical industry and primary care group medicine. As Director of Sales and Marketing for Avanti Health Systems, Paul increased revenues to $9.5 million for the successful divesture of this New York Life physician medical group.

Paul holds a B.S. degree in Biology from the University of Illinois – Chicago.

Operations Team

Rae Parth
Chief Technology Officer

Rae came to work for PreEmptive Meds, Inc in April of 2009 with ideas and technology experience from RPAXIS.COM, Inc, where he has served as principal since 2004. RP AXIS has been creating dynamic websites powered by open-source frameworks and databases for the past 7 years. Rae is a “hands on” technology officer who has the ability to lead a team of developers as well as roll up his sleeves and develop and maintain systems with very limited external help. Rae has been responsible for developing the commerce and customer relationship management applications for PMI as well as the E-Commerce shopping cart on predisease.com. His role includes developing the underlying technology, including software development, architectural design, automated testing, systems installation and administration, and database design and administration.

Mini Oommen
Director, Billing Operations

Mini Oommen leads the business office process of PMI and is in charge of all back office processing and patient accounting for PMI. She also leads the systems development for PMI. Mini brings with her a wealth of healthcare industry experience spanning over 14 years. Her core skills lie in Business Operations and Systems. She also brings with her an excellent track record in the industry and specialized knowledge of the health care industry. Having worked with companies like Siemens and IBM, she edge over many and has a sound understanding of the dynamics of patient accounting with an ability to recognize and capitalize business opportunity.

Mini is a Commerce Graduate and a Certified Patient Account Technician from AAHAM.

Sushil Ladwal
Manager, Billing Operations

As Manager of Billing Operations, Sushil is responsible for processing orders. He specializes in handling all customer billing and order processing for PMI. Prior to PMI he was previously employed with Siemens Corporation and brings with him the wealth of experience in Billing processing and Customer Service.

Sushil holds a post graduate Diploma in Business Administration.

Stephanie Schippe
Director, Customer Service

Stephanie has 16 years of hands on patient care in the medical field. Her philosophy is “The natural approach is the best place to start”. Eating right, exercising and healthy living are the priorities she enjoys with her family. Stephanie had chosen to bring her care for the patient’s interest to PreEmptive Meds as a way of blending her personal beliefs with her professional work ethic. Thus, creating a customer service department that serves to make things work in a healthy manner.

Jennifer Britton
Manager, Customer Service

Jennifer has over 12 years of customer service experience in the retail industry, prior to joining PMI. Jennifer enjoys interacting and helping people. Her goal is to provide outstanding customer service and be proactive in solving customer problems.

Pradeep Agarwal
Director Finance & Accounting

Pradeep has extensive experience in tax and accounting. Pradeep's counsel has proven instrumental to the success of many companies and he and his team are responsible for all accounting, payroll and tax related issues for the Company. Pradeep is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).

A graduate of Baruch College, Pradeep holds a Business Administration degree in Accounting. He has completed postgraduate courses in taxation.

Sangita Shah
Manager Finance & Accounting

Sangita is responsible for day-to-day accounting, payroll functions, inventory records and other general administration functions. Prior to PMI, she has had extensive experience in accounting and general finance roles with technology companies in India and the US. She has a Masters in Business Administration and had trained extensively in Quick Books.
